Requirements

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus.
Hands-on structural design experience across at least one material type (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
Fluent in analysis and documentation tools including ETABS, RAM, RISA, SAP2000, and Revit Structure.
Deep curiosity for how engineering systems function.
Ability to explain the rationale behind traditional engineering workflows.
Opinionated perspective on current discipline workflows and existing industry pain points.

Responsibilities

Walk the team through day-to-day and project-to-project structural engineering workflows in detail.
Discuss real, anonymized projects to clarify design intent and professional practice.
Pressure-test product ideas and early prototypes to identify time-saving opportunities, risks, and potential failures.
Map hand-offs between structural, civil, and MEP engineering, as well as coordination with architects and contractors.
Distill tasks into irreducible engineering judgment versus repetitive, automatable processes.
