Requirements
- 4 to 7+ years of experience managing large scale program delivery in complex funding environments
- Experience with restricted public funding sources
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a top private or public sector organization
- Ability to translate regulatory and contractual requirements into practical operational systems
- Experience working cross functionally with finance, grants, and partnership teams
- Strong technical skills, including data analysis and evaluating third-party tech platforms
- Ability to operate in ambiguity with strong judgment and risk management skills
- Proven emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
- Commitment to GiveDirectly core values and fostering inclusivity
- Proficiency in English
- Must be able to travel ~3-4 times per year for team retreats or program visits
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design, planning, and execution of cash projects
- Design and build operational models for new programs, including assessing trade-offs
- Manage partnerships with vendors, subgrantees, and subcontractors
- Identify and de-risk operational vulnerabilities such as fraud and brand risk
- Directly manage team members including hiring, operations QA, and business diligence
- Identify and advance macro-level improvements in operations, program management, and reporting
- Ensure program design aligns with external constraints and resolve conflicts between program needs and funding rules
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects prioritize recipients and combat fraud
- Establish internal controls, approval workflows, and documentation standards
- Maintain relationships with donors and operational partners
