Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 7-11 years of experience building ETL/ELT pipelines from scratch.
- Strong command of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and data modeling.
- Strong command of Python and experience building production web applications.
- Experience with cloud-based services (AWS RDS preferred).
- Experience developing on or administering BI/data visualization platforms.
- Basic understanding of data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Experience building backend services using Python/FastAPI and designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience authoring modern web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with data catalog or data governance platforms.
- Familiarity with AI patterns such as tool-calling agents, planning/execution loops, and RAG.
- Demonstrated ability to use modern AI tools to improve velocity and code quality.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated data models in SQL.
- Work closely with other Software Engineers to ensure sound, scalable implementation.
- Act as a technical expert on the team regarding data architecture and evolution.
- Introduce new technologies to enhance data pipeline capabilities.
- Document data models, architectural decisions, and data dictionaries.
- Assist with governance, code reviews, and access controls.
- Develop fluency in transforming application data to enhance customer decision-making.
- Guide product and development teams on instrumentation and reporting foundations.
- Build scalable, highly performant infrastructure for business insights.
