Requirements
- Proven experience managing a small, high-output engineering team.
- Technical background sufficient to review plans and PRs.
- Strong incident command experience.
- Demonstrable track record of high-bar hiring.
- Exceptional written communication skills for documentation and decision-making.
- Proficiency in using GitHub and Notion.
- Experience using AI tools to optimize processes and planning.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Must provide a written example of a delivery process or team-unblocking event (e.g., retro or RCA).
Responsibilities
- Run planning, standups, and retrospectives in a lightweight, effective manner.
- Track active projects and identify risks early to prevent delivery issues.
- Define and monitor delivery metrics like cycle time, review latency, and reliability.
- Act as incident commander to coordinate response and lead blameless RCAs.
- Grow the team through 1:1s, coaching, and managing the hiring pipeline.
- Own delivery outcomes and ensure work is shipped on time and at high quality.
