Requirements
- Strong experience as a Senior DevOps or Platform Engineer in AWS environments.
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and SQS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC design, routing, security groups, NACLs, and private/public architectures.
- Proven experience with Terraform, including building reusable modules.
- Solid understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud best practices.
- Experience designing and operating multi-region architectures.
- Strong CI/CD experience with tools like GitHub Actions or CodeDeploy.
- Experience with identity and access management and SSO.
- Strong Linux and containerization knowledge, particularly Docker and ECS.
- Experience building and maintaining observability and monitoring systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, focusing on reusable modules and standardisation.
- Operate and optimise AWS services including ECS, EC2, Lambda, SQS/DLQ, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or CodeDeploy for reliable deployments.
- Build and enhance observability frameworks, including logging, monitoring, and alerting across distributed systems.
- Implement and manage identity and access controls, including SSO and access brokering.
- Collaborate with Security on platform hardening and integration with security tooling like SIEM and DLP.
- Drive cost optimisation efforts, including rightsizing, reserved capacity, and scaling strategies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis for long-term fixes.
- Work with Compliance teams to maintain PCI DSS, ISO27001, and SOC2 standards.
