Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing.
- 1+ years of relevant legal experience in corporate law, project finance, or M&A.
- Strong experience in contract negotiation.
- Strong experience in corporate regulatory compliance.
- Ability to balance business expectations with legal and regulatory compliance objectives.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for project financing and renewable energy certificates (RECs) transactions.
- Handle entity formation, registration, and state and federal compliance filings including FERC.
- Manage subscriber acquisition and related legal documentation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs.
- Conduct due diligence on real estate matters to facilitate solar project development.
- Identify and resolve title and survey issues for project sites.
- Collaborate with business teams through the project life cycle from development to energization.
- Ensure compliance with real estate and renewable energy regulations.
- Research and advise on legal trends and novel market issues.
- Partner with Business Development to structure and close deals.
