Requirements
- 5+ years of back-end development experience
- Strong experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs
- Proficient in performance optimisation and server-side logic
- Experience with Git and Linux
- Experience with databases including MySQL and MongoDB Atlas
- Experience with project management and process tools like JIRA and PM2
- Experience with Debian environment
- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills with a passion for clean code and long-term maintainability
- Experience with schema-based validation (OpenAPI) is a bonus
- Exposure to mobile applications or high-scale systems is a bonus
- Basic knowledge of React is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Node.js API and supporting back-end systems
- Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to design and deliver scalable features
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Optimise application performance and debug complex issues
- Participate in architecture discussions and continuously improve system design
- Work effectively with a globally distributed team across time zones
