Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Security+ or equivalent IAT/IAM/IASAE Level 2 certification per DOD 8570.1.
- Proficiency in OTN, SONET, and DWDM technologies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a network management environment.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
- Availability for on-call after-hours support.
- Up to 10% travel capacity.
- Familiarity with network management tools like One Control, MCP, DNA, TNMS, and Remedy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience preferred.
- Ciena OC-A certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform Transport Network Management functions and serve as a technical subject matter expert.
- Resolve Tier-2 trouble escalations for SONET, OTN, and DWDM networks.
- Coordinate Tier-2 network implementation projects and serve as technical point of contact for provisioning, configurations, and testing.
- Manage the deactivation and decommissioning of transport devices.
- Maintain technical operational documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams.
- Review and provide feedback on engineering development plans and network as-built drawings.
