Requirements
- Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
- 6–10+ years of experience in medical communications and/or scientific publications within pharma or biotech.
- Proven expertise in leading program-level publication strategy aligned with integrated evidence planning.
- Strong experience developing scientific narratives, congress materials, and medical communication assets.
- Deep understanding of clinical development, data interpretation, and scientific storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed, fast-paced global environment.
- Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder leadership skills.
- Experience managing external agencies and vendor relationships effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~20%).
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of global scientific communication strategies aligned with integrated evidence plans and medical objectives.
- Define and maintain the core scientific narrative across programs, ensuring consistent interpretation of clinical and real-world data.
- Oversee creation of key medical communication materials, including Q&As, scientific slide decks, and internal/external educational content.
- Drive publication strategy at the program level, including planning, prioritization, and alignment of manuscripts, abstracts, and data dissemination activities.
- Support and shape medical congress strategy, including symposia content, booth materials, and post-congress scientific outputs.
- Ensure scientific consistency across Medical Affairs deliverables in collaboration with Medical Information and cross-functional teams.
- Manage external medical communications vendors and agencies, ensuring quality, compliance, and delivery against timelines and strategic goals.
- Contribute to launch readiness activities, ensuring medical communications are aligned with lifecycle and commercial milestones.
