Requirements
- Experience in incident management, technical operations, business analysis, or a related role within a technology-driven organization.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technical and non-technical audiences, especially during high-severity incidents.
- Comfort making decisions with incomplete information while knowing when to escalate appropriately.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and root causes from operational or incident data.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and support/operations.
- Highly organized with strong facilitation skills for leading postmortems, retrospectives, or risk reviews.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn a broad range of systems, products, and technologies.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00 PT or 9:00–6:00 PT) and participate in on-call rotations approximately one week every four weeks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for critical production issues, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
- Act as a central point of contact during incidents, driving alignment across engineering, product, and operational stakeholders.
- Facilitate post-incident reviews and risk assessments to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Analyze incident trends and operational data to uncover systemic issues and propose actionable improvements.
- Ensure accountability by assigning ownership of actions, tracking follow-ups, and supporting execution of remediation plans.
- Improve incident response processes, documentation, and escalation pathways to enhance organizational readiness.
- Support cross-functional teams in understanding system behavior, dependencies, and operational risks.
