Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Biomechanics, Human Factors, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in premises liability, safety, forensic investigations, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience performing forensic investigations and technical reviews.
- Experience with ADA, ASTM, ANSI, OSHA, and life safety codes.
- Experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.
- Deep understanding of building codes, life safety requirements, and human safety principles.
- Ability to travel frequently for site investigations, client meetings, testimony, and internal leadership meetings.
- Available for after-hours responsiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship within the Premises Liability & Security practice.
- Partner with Practice Director to define and implement practice standards, methodologies, and strategic goals.
- Lead development and standardization of investigative approaches for personal injury, security, and human safety matters.
- Oversee quality assurance and consistency of deliverables across the practice.
- Conduct and oversee field investigations involving slip/trip/falls, security incidents, building conditions, and human injury.
- Perform and/or supervise technical reviews of reports, analyses, and expert opinions.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to premises liability, security, and human safety investigations.
- Support business development efforts through client meetings, presentations, and industry engagement.
- Provide expert opinions, written reports, and testimony in litigation matters.
