Requirements
- Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience.
- Native speaker in Norwegian.
- Excellent command of Italian in both comprehension and writing.
- Prior experience with Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE).
- Knowledge and experience with CAT tools.
- Preferred experience in translation and proofreading in technical fields.
- Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new tools.
- Strong linguistic and cultural competence in Italian and Norwegian.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Proven professionalism under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform light and full machine translation post-editing according to client specifications.
- Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
- Provide corrections and text optimization based on the MT output.
- Follow post-editing guidelines to ensure quality standards meet client expectations.
- Maintain key terminology, spot inconsistencies, and ensure high-grammatical accuracy.
- Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, and cultural references as per guidelines.
