Requirements
- Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent experience.
- Native speaker of Hungarian.
- Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) experience required.
- Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing.
- IT skills with knowledge and experience of CAT tools.
- Familiarity with Machine Translation Post-Editing processes and tools.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Translation and proofreading experience in a technical field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform light and full post-editing on machine translation outputs in accordance with client specifications.
- Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
- Provide corrections and text optimization based on the MT output.
- Follow post-editing guidelines and ensure quality standards meet client expectations.
- Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions, translation memory, glossaries, and style guides.
- Ensure high grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology.
- Identify and correct inconsistencies, cultural references, formatting, tagging, and punctuation errors.
