Requirements
- Native in Spanish with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, or equivalent experience.
- IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
- Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the marketing and IT fields.
- Editorial and/or journalistic skills with awareness of language and terminology trends.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with US American culture and pop culture to handle localization and wordplay.
- Quality-driven, detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work in a confidential environment.
- Available for a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel as the business calls.
- Good availability, potentially at least 4 hours per day, with quick response times.
Responsibilities
- Perform marketing and IT translations, ensuring high quality and linguistic accuracy.
- Execute linguistic review and QA processes for translated content.
- Manage terminology consistency through the maintenance of Translation Memories (TMs), glossaries, and style guides.
- Adapt marketing content through transcreation to align with target audience cultural nuances.
- Work within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
