Requirements
- Native in target language with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience.
- IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
- Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading (marketing, software, and/or legal).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude to independently learn new technologies.
- Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
- Flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Available to travel as the business calls.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good availability, potentially at least 4 hours per day and quick response times.
Responsibilities
- Translate and ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
- Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references (translation memory, glossary, style guides, etc.).
- Ensure high-grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology, spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references.
- Correct formatting/tagging, punctuation, country specifics, terminology, style, and fluency as per guidelines.
