Requirements

Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
Native speaker in Finnish language.
Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing.
Experience in translation and proofreading specialized in technical fields (preferred).
IT skills with knowledge and experience of CAT tools.
Comfortable with technology and open to learning new tools.
Strong linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language.
Adaptive to a fast-paced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities.
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source.
Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references such as translation memory, glossary, and style guides.
Ensure high grammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology, spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references.
Correct formatting, tagging, punctuation, country specifics, terminology, and style as per guidelines.
Maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Apply problem-solving and decision-making skills to linguistic tasks.
