Requirements
- Native fluency in Norwegian.
- Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in the localization industry as a translator for IT accounts.
- Extensive experience in technical translation for IT content.
- IT skilled with knowledge of SDL Studio and CAT tools.
- Working knowledge of XML or other markup languages.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Flexible work ethic with ability to work weekends.
- Proven affinity with localization tools and language trends.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical translations of software UI, print documentation, and online help.
- Conduct linguistic review and quality assurance to ensure deliverable accuracy.
- Manage project content, schedules, and reporting.
- Maintain terminology consistency by managing TMs, MTPE, glossaries, and style guides.
- Independently learn and use proprietary localization tool sets.
