Requirements

Native speaker of Norwegian.
Proven experience in creative translation from English into Norwegian.
Bachelor's degree in Translation, Audio-visual Translation, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience translating content containing embedded variables in an XML environment.
Comfort level with manipulating XML-type tags during the translation process.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent vocabulary and command of written and spoken English.
Demonstrated aptitude to independently learn new proprietary localization software.
Ability to work independently and maintain pro-active creative and critical thinking.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities.
Must possess a Mac computer running at least macOS 12.3.1.

Responsibilities

Perform creative linguistic adaptation and translation of virtual personal assistant dialogs from U.S. English to Norwegian.
Adapt personality-flavored dialogs at both a linguistic and XML-based code level to ensure cultural relevance.
Investigate and resolve linguistic bugs identified by client quality assurance teams.
Collaborate with client-based engineers, project managers, and other linguists to meet quality requirements.
Utilize proprietary localization tools to complete assigned translation tasks.
