Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–14+ years of total experience in machine learning or data engineering.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record of shipping and maintaining ML models in production environments.
- Experience developing highly-available full-stack applications and distributed systems.
- Stellar communication, organization, and management skills in an agile environment.
- Expert proficiency in Python; familiarity with Java or Scala is a plus.
- Deep experience with ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Experience with data tools: Kafka, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Presto, and DynamoDB.
- Significant experience with AWS cloud platforms (SageMaker, EKS, or ECS).
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog and Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of talented Machine Learning and Data Engineers, fostering their career growth.
- Partner with Product Managers and Architects to define technical requirements and long-term roadmaps.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of large-scale ML solutions while ensuring operational excellence.
- Collaborate with data platform teams to build robust, scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Work with Fraud, Compliance, and Data Analytics teams to mitigate emerging fraud vectors.
- Advocate for agile processes, CI/CD, automated testing, and model monitoring to reduce technical toil.
- Institute and maintain on-call incident escalation and response processes.
- Manage critical risk platform tools in the cloud and participate in on-call rotations.
