Requirements
- Experience working within compliance, assurance or audit in a regulated financial services environment.
- Good understanding of FCA regulations and guidance, including Consumer Duty, Vulnerable Customers and conduct requirements.
- Ability to analyse complex information and translate findings into clear, practical recommendations.
- Understanding of the role of risk and compliance functions.
- Organised, proactive approach with ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills at all levels.
- Excitement for shaping the future of banking and understanding compliance as a growth enabler.
Responsibilities
- Deliver assurance reviews across key regulations, processes and controls.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback that strengthens Monzo’s control environment.
- Support the delivery of the Compliance Assurance Plan through oversight and challenge of first line activities.
- Produce high-quality reports, management information and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Track and validate remediation actions arising from assurance reviews.
- Support compliance risk assessments, assurance planning and the continuous development of assurance methodologies.
- Help build a positive culture around regulation, compliance and continuous improvement through training and collaboration.
