Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing enterprise-grade architectures.
- Expertise in scientific informatics, lab automation, or complex workflow-based systems.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, API design, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache NiFi.
- Knowledge of lab automation standards such as SiLA2 or OPC-UA.
- Experience integrating ELN, LIMS, SDMS, PLM, ERP, and MES systems.
- Deep understanding of scientific R&D workflows in life sciences or biotech.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with partners or multi-stakeholder delivery ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the design authority for end-to-end lab orchestration architectures.
- Define logical and physical architecture models spanning applications, data flows, and integrations.
- Architect digital-to-physical laboratory workflows.
- Define integration strategies using APIs, event-driven patterns, and Apache NiFi.
- Lead enterprise integration design across ELN, LIMS, SDMS, PLM, ERP, and MES systems.
- Own non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Define cloud and analytics architecture using platforms such as Databricks and Sigma.
- Provide technical leadership by defining reference architectures and reusable patterns.
