Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack or backend software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong experience designing APIs, relational database schemas, and performant SQL queries.
- Proficiency with modern web technologies, ideally including React and backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails.
- Deep understanding of system scalability, distributed architecture, and server-side performance optimization.
- Experience working with data-intensive or financial systems requiring high levels of accuracy, consistency, and auditability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced Agile environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of financial transaction systems ensuring accuracy, traceability, and auditability across the full lifecycle of claims-related payments and operations.
- Build and enhance scalable backend services, APIs, and data models supporting transaction processing, reporting, and system integrations.
- Improve system performance and reliability across distributed infrastructure, identifying bottlenecks and implementing long-term technical solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business and financial requirements into robust technical implementations.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, code quality standards, and continuous improvements across the engineering stack in an Agile environment.
- Support ongoing platform evolution by enhancing configurability, monitoring system health, and proactively addressing operational risks.
