Requirements
- Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
- Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and deployment, security, and operations.
- Ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
- Skill in building trusted relationships and acting as a customer advocate.
- Motivation to continuously develop professionally and learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation (including proofs of value) to show how GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets customers’ technical and business needs.
- Drive the technical evaluation process as the Directly Responsible Individual, including solution design, POC/POV ownership, workshop design, and technical components of tenders and audits.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams in North America to shape and execute account strategies.
- Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders.
- Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices.
- Serve as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, and AI technologies.
