Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with healthcare data systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Experience with financial software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data visualization, and financial modeling.
  • Understanding of healthcare finance principles, reimbursement models, and cost structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret financial data related to healthcare operations, including revenue, expenses, claims, patient utilization, and service line profitability.
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
  • Support cost-benefit analyses for new programs, initiatives, and capital investments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial benchmarks, and trends in healthcare finance.
  • Assist in the development of financial models to evaluate reimbursement scenarios, payer mix, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct variance analyses between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to streamline financial reporting and data integration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as healthcare-specific financial reporting standards (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid).
  • Assist in audits, both internal and external, and support regulatory reporting as required.
