Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Professional experience in computer networking, cybersecurity, or cloud computing environments
- Strong hands-on expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including core infrastructure and security services
- Experience in designing or implementing secure, reliable cloud-based systems is highly desirable
- Prior experience teaching adult learners or delivering online higher education instruction is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Strong mentoring mindset with a passion for supporting student learning and professional development
- Ability to engage diverse, remote learners in an interactive and inclusive learning environment
- Familiarity with instructional design, assessment tools, and academic feedback practices is an asset
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online instruction for the “Mastering the AWS Cloud (CMIT 426)” course in alignment with program outcomes
- Guide students in applying AWS services across compute, networking, storage, and database environments through hands-on learning
- Facilitate active student participation, collaboration, and problem-based learning in a virtual classroom environment
- Provide timely, structured, and constructive feedback using rubrics to support student progress and achievement
- Assess student performance and ensure alignment with academic standards and course objectives
- Support learner success by connecting theoretical concepts to real-world cloud computing and cybersecurity applications
- Maintain regular communication with students, fostering engagement, motivation, and academic persistence
- Contribute feedback to program leadership for ongoing course and curriculum improvement
