Requirements
- 6+ years backend or platform engineering experience.
- Depth in distributed systems, data pipelines, or cloud infrastructure.
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Experience in a Series B or earlier startup environment.
- Proven business-informed prioritization skills.
- Ability to contribute as an IC during the first three months.
- Experience building integrations with complex systems (preferred).
- Background in CI/CD, observability, and security compliance (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own execution end-to-end (sprint planning, retros, delivery tracking).
- Set direction across AI-driven data integrations and the platform/infrastructure layer.
- Translate business needs into an engineering roadmap and make trade-off calls.
- Build team capacity through growth conversations and delegation.
- Surface risks and problems with actionable recommendations.
- Contribute as an IC across backend systems, orchestration, and infrastructure.
