- 1 to 2+ years leading people or projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team through change and building cohesion.
- Credibility to manage and coach engineers at or near the principal level.
- Strong coaching, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in ambiguous environments.
- Track record setting and enforcing architectural standards across a platform.
- Proficiency with modern data pipeline architecture and application integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Experience running small, high-velocity project teams.
- Strong communication and alignment skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain architectural standards including CI/CD, IaC, and observability.
- Lead the team’s adoption of AI-native development and agent-driven automation.
- Manage capacity planning and delivery cadence across concurrent workstreams.
- Deploy Strike Teams against high-value projects and standardize patterns.
- Review and make calls on architectural decisions across workstreams.
- Build bench depth and address capability gaps through coaching and targeted assignments.
- Own day-to-day technical decisions at the boundary of peer functions.
- Serve as the technical voice of the team in cross-functional planning.
- Run performance processes including 1:1s, reviews, and onboarding.
- Contribute hands-on development work including internal tooling and infrastructure.
