Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on MS Access development experience.
- Expertise with MariaDB or MySQL, including database design and query optimization.
- Strong SQL skills for complex reporting and data validation.
- Experience building MS Excel reporting solutions with ODBC connections.
- Proven ability to manage the full database application development lifecycle.
- Experience supporting federal IT financial data systems.
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.
- Experience with SharePoint as a document repository.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and ongoing maintenance of the MS Access front-end application.
- Design and maintain the ODBC connectivity layer between MS Access and cloud-hosted MariaDB/MySQL.
- Develop and maintain queries, stored procedures, and data workflows for financial management.
- Perform bulk data loads and updates for multi-year budget cycles.
- Build and maintain MS Excel-based reports using Pivot Tables via ODBC.
- Manage version and environment control for the MS Access file.
- Maintain role-based access management and audit documentation.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for the system.
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical specifications.
