- Ability to zoom out to strategy and zoom in to details.
- Deep instincts for designing speed and reliability.
- Strong visual design skills.
- AI-first design approach.
- Experience with prototyping.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for Point of Sale experiences at a platform level.
- Define how complex operational workflows should work across Toast's terminal and handheld surfaces.
- Bring a systems mindset to the POS platform by identifying patterns and building scalable solutions.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape roadmap direction.
- Design for high-pressure, hardware-constrained restaurant service environments.
- Use prototyping and storytelling to drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop designers on the team.
- Integrate AI-first tools and methods into design practices.
