Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Data/Software Engineer.
- 2+ years of experience directly managing and scaling data engineering teams.
- Experience in low-maturity or greenfield data environments.
- Deep background with major cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Experience with cloud-native data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift).
- Proficiency with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
- Experience with ELT pipelines (Fivetran, dbt) and distributed frameworks (Spark, Flink).
- Coding experience in Python or Scala and advanced SQL.
- Experience implementing CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and observability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Manage a pod of Data Engineers and recruit new team members.
- Define and shape the hiring roadmap as the engineering function grows.
- Transition data systems from reactive ad-hoc processes to a structured, scalable ecosystem.
- Own the architecture, ingestion, and orchestration of the data platform.
- Ensure high-quality data foundations for Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts.
- Collaborate across Product & Engineering and MarTech teams.
- Ensure data is produced cleanly at the source and captured reliably.
