Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in child care policy, licensing, QRIS, research, program evaluation, or a related field.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative social science research, including developing surveys and analyzing extant and original datasets.
- Proficiency using Excel.
- Documented strong attention to detail.
- Competency in analyzing and synthesizing information quickly and accurately.
- Excellent project management and planning skills with the ability to keep work on track with minimal supervision, under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated skill in collaborating clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to Child Care Aware® of America’s research projects to analyze and benchmark state child care standards.
- Participates in data collection and analysis, utilizing multiple research methods as needed (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, case study methods, interviews, etc.)
- Communicates and translates data into research products that are easily understood and digested by system leaders, policymakers and CCAoA partners.
- Maintains data and associated databases for key research reports.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, particularly those who provide data for CCAoA analyses, regularly interfacing with them regarding research requests.
- Partners with colleagues and other CCAoA units to execute projects in support of Research Team goals.
