Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR administration, People support or similar administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling employee data.
- Confidence using HR systems, spreadsheets, shared inboxes and document management processes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A people-first mindset and a professional approach to employee and manager queries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Confidence following processes and escalating issues where required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets, documents and email.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider People Team.
- Basic understanding of UK HR administration processes.
- Experience using BambooHR or similar systems would be desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support HR administration processes for internal employees across the UK business, ensuring employee records and HR systems are accurate and up to date.
- Manage new starter, employee change and leaver administration, including onboarding documents, status changes, pay-related updates, offboarding requests and exit documentation.
- Support eligibility, right-to-work, TUPE onboarding and internal people documentation processes, ensuring all required checks and records are completed accurately.
- Use BambooHR and other HR systems to input, update, access and compile employee data for the People Team and wider business.
- Liaise with hiring managers, senior stakeholders and internal teams to support job advert requests and recruitment-related administration.
- Support internal staff absence administration, including sickness, bereavement and other absence types, ensuring return-to-work confirmations and payroll-related updates are completed correctly.
- Monitor and respond to queries received via the UK HR inbox, including holiday queries, sickness updates, employee record changes, document requests, system updates and general HR support.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the wider People Team, including reference letters, eye test vouchers, employee documentation, record updates and urgent HR system actions.
- Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate People Team member and ensure confidential employee information is handled in line with company policy and data protection requirements.
