Requirements
- Strong SQL fundamentals including joins, CTEs, window functions, and clear query structure.
- Experience with analytics engineering workflows using dbt or similar tools.
- Analytical intuition with the ability to synthesize well-reasoned conclusions.
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn broker-dealer environments including clearing, execution, and financial accounting.
Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous business and operational questions into clear, useful analytical outputs.
- Build and own analytics data models using SQL against PostgreSQL, Trino, and Apache Iceberg.
- Build and iterate on metrics and tables using dbt.
- Develop dashboards in Metabase to track transaction volumes, revenue streams, and system performance.
- Use SQL and Python (Jupyter notebooks) to investigate trends, anomalies, and P&L calculations.
- Identify opportunities to transition ad-hoc requests into self-serve environments.
- Streamline report automation and drive standardization of data reporting.
