Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field or Master’s degree with at least four years of quantitative research experience.
- Demonstrated policy expertise related to Marketplace, Medicare and Medicaid.
- Experience conducting applied quantitative research in health policy.
- Experience working with federal or state Medicaid agencies, CMS, or similar entities.
- Proficiency with statistical and data tools such as SAS, SQL, Stata, R, or Python.
- Experience developing and writing proposals for federal agencies.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with CMS data sources and value-based payment models.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Marketplace, Medicaid and Medicare stakeholders through meetings, briefings, and dissemination activities.
- Interpret policy and regulations.
- Specify, oversee, and interpret descriptive and statistical analyses of large, complex datasets.
- Translate complex analytic findings into clear, actionable insights for state and federal stakeholders.
- Design and oversee the development of dashboards and other data visualizations.
- Apply appropriate quantitative methods to analyze administrative data like claims and enrollment.
- Lead or contribute to the design and execution of research and evaluation projects.
- Support proposal development work by writing technical sections and contributing to analytic approaches.
- Manage small to mid-sized project tasks, including budgets and timelines.
- Supervise, mentor and guide junior staff.
