Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in QA or quality engineering for hardware or mobile products.
- FAA Part 107 Certificate (required or obtainable upon hire).
- Access to 10+ acres of space for daily drone operations at place of residence or nearby.
- Proven experience validating hardware behavior end-to-end.
- Strong coding or scripting proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with test case management tools like Qase and defect tracking like Jira.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for test setup, maintenance, and bug resolution.
- Experience testing mobile applications using frameworks like Appium, Espresso, or Detox.
- Familiarity with robotics, geospatial, or autonomous systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins).
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Experience with drone flight systems, RTK/PPK workflows, or embedded firmware.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily drone flights for regression, acceptance, and validation testing.
- Define and document comprehensive test plans for new features and product releases.
- Coordinate QA test programs and maintain clear communication across teams.
- Define and enforce high standards for bug reporting, including reproduction steps and logs.
- Manage regression suites for Dock, Android, and iOS platforms.
- Develop and maintain automation to minimize manual testing requirements.
- Utilize AI tools for test design, bug triage, and metrics analysis.
- Monitor quality metrics to drive process improvements and risk reduction.
- Maintain device inventory, firmware tracking, and Qase test suites.
