Requirements
- 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 3+ years in healthcare payer systems or interoperability domains.
- Strong knowledge of HL7 FHIR (R4) standards.
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, API Management).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of healthcare payer processes (claims, eligibility, prior authorization).
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into structured technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience with CMS interoperability mandates.
- Exposure to SMART on FHIR, OAuth2, or healthcare identity frameworks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and translate healthcare business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Evaluate existing applications, integrations, and data flows to identify compliance gaps against CMS interoperability mandates.
- Design and document APIs, data models, and FHIR-based integration patterns.
- Support implementation of CMS interoperability initiatives such as payer-to-payer and prior authorization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams using C#, .NET, REST APIs, and Azure-based services.
- Participate in Agile development processes using Azure DevOps.
- Ensure system designs align with healthcare interoperability standards and security requirements.
