Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 5–9 years of experience as an Oracle DBA or Banner DBA
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database administration (installation, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, tuning)
- Hands-on experience supporting Ellucian Banner ERP in production
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with database object migration
- Strong shell scripting skills in Unix/Linux
- Understanding of application server architecture and middleware
- Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end administration of enterprise databases, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, and performance tuning
- Support and optimize ERP platforms such as Ellucian Banner
- Perform advanced SQL development, database object migrations, and shell scripting
- Design, implement, and maintain high availability architectures and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor system performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Collaborate with systems and operations teams to enforce security controls
- Install, configure, and integrate middleware and application components
- Troubleshoot complex database, application, and integration issues
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior DBA team members
