Requirements

  • One-year medical insurance, healthcare, call center, or customer service experience.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Proficient typing and 10-key skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology.
  • Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English.
  • CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge preferred.
  • Standard medical billing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service primarily by telephone to all PacificSource customers.
  • Assist callers with coverage related questions/concerns; accurately interpret policy provisions.
  • Analyze customer inquiries and determine correct steps for resolution.
  • Document calls in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Conduct research and take ownership for prompt resolution of disputed claims.
  • Relay information to appropriate departments using established channels.
  • Make outbound calls to members as necessary based on outreach campaigns.
