Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One-year medical insurance, healthcare, call center, or customer service experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Proficient typing and 10-key skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology.
- Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English.
- CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge preferred.
- Standard medical billing practices preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service primarily by telephone to all PacificSource customers.
- Assist callers with coverage related questions/concerns; accurately interpret policy provisions.
- Analyze customer inquiries and determine correct steps for resolution.
- Document calls in a clear and consistent manner.
- Conduct research and take ownership for prompt resolution of disputed claims.
- Relay information to appropriate departments using established channels.
- Make outbound calls to members as necessary based on outreach campaigns.
