Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2-5 years environmental experience (Master’s may substitute for 2 years’ experience).
- Knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of environmental engineering and technology principles.
- Knowledge of chemical processes and transformations in the environment.
- Strong Microsoft and Google office skills.
- Professional communication, research, and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate moderately complex water reclamation permit applications, reports, facility designs, plans of moderate complexity and cost estimates.
- Participate in site visits, data collection, inspections, and investigations regarding environmental topics.
- Perform complex environmental calculations based on provided methodologies.
- Provide rigorous technical guidance to municipal facilities, responsible parties and individuals to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing environmental guidance documents.
- Performs or leads projects under direction of a unit lead or manager.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provides compliance assistance to responsible parties while conversing with a variety of subject matter experts.
