Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Composite Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–10 years of experience supporting operational wind assets in blade engineering, blade reliability, rotor engineering, or blade maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials, blade structures, and repair methodologies.
  • Experience applying OEM service bulletins, engineering specifications, and repair standards.
  • Proficiency in utilizing SCADA and condition monitoring systems.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise CMMS or asset management systems.
  • Ability to travel 20–30% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of site and fleet Blade Health Management Plans.
  • Assess blade defects and determine repair, monitoring, and risk-management actions.
  • Perform root cause analyses (RCA) for blade failures and reliability issues.
  • Develop engineering recommendations to improve blade reliability and lifecycle performance.
  • Review and validate findings from UAV and drone-based blade inspections.
  • Analyze SCADA and condition monitoring data to identify performance issues.
  • Interface with OEMs regarding warranty claims and technical issues.
  • Provide engineering support for composite blade repairs and Leading Edge Protection (LEP) programs.
