Requirements

  • 4–10 years of dedicated experience in system safety engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong expertise in PHA, FHA, FTA, FMECA, STPA, and related hazard analysis techniques.
  • Proven experience developing formal safety artifacts such as safety cases and SSPPs.
  • Deep familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-882E, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ARP-4761, and DO-178.
  • Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo) and modern Agile development.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with AI-enabled tools or automation.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced system safety engineering methods to perform hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety case development.
  • Utilize AI-assisted digital engineering platforms to optimize FHA, FTA, STPA, HARA, and FMECA.
  • Perform human-in-the-loop validation of AI-generated safety outputs.
  • Define system and subsystem safety requirements, including safety architectures and traceability.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive safety documentation including SSPPs and SARs.
  • Collaborate with software teams to provide feedback on tools and platform features.
  • Support client engagements by guiding CONOPS and ODD definitions.
  • Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882E, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ARP-4761, and DO-178.
