Requirements

  • Current Nevada Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license (required).
  • In-depth knowledge of Nevada procedural rules, legal terminology, and transcript formatting standards.
  • Significant experience in court reporting.
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with CAT software (e.g., Case CATalyst, Eclipse).
  • Proficiency with digital audio review tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with a commitment to upholding the highest professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Capture depositions, hearings, and legal proceedings in a certified stenographic capacity, producing accurate, verbatim transcripts.
  • Use CAT software and digital audio tools to scope, proofread, and finalize transcripts that meet Nevada court reporting standards.
  • Assist the company with court-reporter firm registration.
  • Lead quality assurance by auditing transcripts, schedules, and workflows for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Provide feedback, training, and onboarding support to strengthen team performance.
  • Drive strategic planning by developing staffing models, overseeing recruitment, and aligning resources to ensure coverage of all proceedings.
  • Partner with leadership to design and implement long-term process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and overall reporting quality.
