Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in data, platform, or backend engineering.
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale data pipelines in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data tools (Redshift, Lambda, Glue or equivalents).
- Experience with data orchestration and ETL tools (Airflow, Airbyte, dbt).
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and data quality frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Experience supporting machine learning or AI workflows.
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance in sensitive-data environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve data architecture to support scalability and near-real-time use cases.
- Define standards for data modeling, orchestration, versioning, and deployment.
- Lead data governance, security, lineage, and compliance efforts.
- Own the design, build, and maintenance of production-grade data pipelines.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for pipelines.
- Optimize pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Partner with analysts and product teams to ensure pipelines support reporting.
- Architect and maintain data systems using AWS and orchestration tools.
- Establish SLAs and reliability standards for critical data assets.
