Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in foundation relations, institutional fundraising, or grant writing.
- Proven track record of managing a foundation portfolio and securing philanthropic grants.
- Experience writing and managing full-cycle grants.
- Strong understanding of grant compliance and reporting.
- Experience using CRM systems for donor pipeline management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex funding calendars.
- Experience collaborating across program, finance, and communications teams.
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to social, racial, and environmental justice.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a $6M+ portfolio of foundation funders.
- Lead the development of grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
- Manage end-to-end grant cycles, including compliance tracking, renewal planning, and award monitoring.
- Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather data and budgets.
- Oversee funder engagement activities like briefings and newsletters.
- Supervise and guide the Development Data and Research Coordinator.
- Maintain CRM records of all funder interactions and portfolio activity.
