Requirements
- Strong experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering roles, ideally within a modern cloud data stack environment.
- Advanced SQL expertise with the ability to independently explore, analyze, and transform complex datasets across multiple domains.
- Deep hands-on experience with dbt Core and dbt Cloud, including building modular data marts and MetricFlow-compatible YAML configurations.
- Strong proficiency with Snowflake, including schema design, query optimization, and data sharing setup.
- Proven ability to translate external vendor schemas into internal data models, particularly in B2C or DTC environments.
- Experience working with GitLab or similar version control systems, including branching strategies and merge request workflows.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy, validation, and reproducibility.
- Ability to work independently and deliver complex technical solutions with minimal supervision.
- Exposure to marketing mix modeling (MMM) or incrementality measurement integrations is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of a dedicated analytics data mart within dbt, supporting external marketing mix modeling and incrementality vendor requirements.
- Translate external B2C schema specifications into robust internal data models, ensuring accurate mapping across orders, customers, and attribution-related datasets.
- Participate in vendor alignment sessions to define table structures, field requirements, and data logic before implementation begins.
- Build and maintain scalable transformations using dbt Core and dbt Cloud, including marts layer modeling and MetricFlow-compatible configurations.
- Develop comprehensive dbt tests, documentation, and data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy, transparency, and long-term maintainability.
- Configure and manage Snowflake data sharing and connectivity to enable secure and efficient vendor data ingestion.
- Collaborate within GitLab workflows, managing branch strategy, merge requests, and peer review processes for production deployments.
- Ensure DTC-specific logic is properly applied, including adjustments for customer, order, and shipment-level data interpretations.
- Support data quality, governance, and performance optimization across all delivered models.
