Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • 2 years of Customer Service experience.
  • Working knowledge of shipping procedures and practices.
  • Understanding of inventory control processes and product line specifications.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with maintaining a customer database and Internet navigation.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and emails from Territory Managers.
  • Research and provide information such as estimated time of arrival (ETA), customer history data, order tracking, and proof of delivery.
  • Process orders, invoices, credits, and returns.
  • Enter and update vendor drop ship orders.
  • Check item availability and manage back orders.
  • Review and resolve issues with customer orders such as shipment discrepancies.
  • Prepare and send customer order acknowledgments.
  • Communicate with internal departments including Accounting and Purchasing.
