Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
- Recent hands-on technical work alongside leadership responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong experience across AWS and Azure environments.
- Proven ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines from code commit to production deployment.
- Proficient in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Comfortable working in Linux-based systems with scripting experience.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers.
- Exposure to regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or HITRUST.
Responsibilities
- Lead the DevOps function as a player-coach, contributing hands-on to infrastructure design while mentoring and developing a growing DevOps team.
- Design, build, and maintain deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation using Terraform and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Drive cloud modernization efforts, including migration from Azure-heavy environments toward AWS-focused architecture while ensuring system stability.
- Establish and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards, targeting high coverage and consistency across all systems.
- Own cloud cost optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce Azure and AWS spend through architectural and operational improvements.
- Integrate security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, HITRUST) directly into infrastructure design and deployment processes.
- Guide adoption of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and containerized workloads where appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security leaders to align infrastructure strategy with business goals.
