Requirements
- A history of managing software engineers in high-functioning teams and organizations
- Experience running effective performance management processes
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding software engineers across different experience levels
- An empathetic leader that is dedicated to the professional growth of their direct reports
- Experience managing fully remote or hybrid teams
- Fluency with agile software development practices, incremental development, and continuous delivery
Responsibilities
- Manage several software engineers across multiple teams and locations
- Devise a professional development program with each of your reports and monitor their growth via regular 1 on 1 meetings and periodic 360 reviews.
- Assume primary responsibility of the hiring process for software engineering candidates
- Advise project managers and stakeholders on team composition and project resourcing
- (optional) Serve as scrum master for one or more teams containing your reports
