Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL in production environments
- Deep understanding of cloud database architecture, PaaS vs IaaS, and hybrid cloud models
- Strong command of T-SQL, PowerShell, and optionally Python or C#
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, compliance, and clinical teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, maintain and support cloud-based SQL Server environments across VMs, Azure SQL and Azure SQL Managed Instance platforms
- Troubleshoot performance issues using standard tools and monitoring platforms
- Apply best practices around data management, governance, and support
- Take ownership of support issues and collaborate with other engineering teams
- Mentor junior engineers and train the team on new processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions align with customer goals
- Execute standardized data protection practices across all data platforms
- Develop and execute pre-defined data pipeline patterns for analytics and reporting
