Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years in a lead or manager capacity.
- Proven track record of shipping end-to-end products in a 0-to-1 environment.
- Experience managing engineers directly and developing talent.
- Strong communication skills for client engagement.
- Ability to drive technical direction and make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong technical opinions and ability to build consensus.
- Experience in domains with compliance or operational stakes (tax, fintech, legal, or accounting preferred).
Responsibilities
- Define scope, roadmap, and delivery for a workflow area within Tax or Corp pod.
- Write production code and remain an active contributor.
- Hire and develop a sub-pod of approximately 2 engineers.
- Engage directly with client firms to validate solutions and gather feedback.
- Make and own architecture and tooling decisions for the sub-pod.
- Coordinate with other TLMs, pod leads, and product to align on components.
- Rapidly iterate and ship features based on field observation.
- Maintain engineering standards for client-facing, regulated workflows.
